The second set of classes, which included the Kids in the Kitchen classes, proved very successful and were well attended.
We have now completed the first 2 of the Italian regional cooking program. The remaining program for this set of classes will be:
1. Northern Regions (Emilia Romagna, Veneto, Abruzzo, Marche) - 11 July
2. Border Regions (Liguria, Piedmont, Lombardy, Trentino, Friuli, Aosta) - 15 August
3. The Islands (Sicily, Sardegna) - 12 Sept
This program also features the very popular hands-on Fresh Pasta Making class and the Seafood class. There are two sessions for the steam oven demonstrations. This class continues to be very popular as people change their cooking habits to incorporate the health benefits of steam cooking. The class demonstrates how to cook fish, meat, chicken sausages, vegetables and fruit in the ovens for maximum benefits. |

As is usual in any of my classes, there is plenty to eat at these demonstrations. We have also included a demonstration class for Induction Cooking which will outline the way induction works and will demonstrate the various cooking techniques with induction as the heat source.
With school semester holidays in this period, I am again running two classes for schoolchildren. The first class deals with making pasta and second focuses on pizza. These classes start at 10 am and include a full lunch for the participants. Classes conclude at 1 pm. This is a great way to have the young people engage in an unusual activity and also enjoy a healthy lunch.
