Knee Deep is one of the interesting wineries in the Wilyabrup area with a strong commitment to quality and a relaxed life style. This philosophy has ensured a rapid claim to fame for its restaurant and this is largely well deserved.

The fame may be enhanced by the impact that one can get when you find a food oasis in an unexpected venue serving food that is atypical of the cloned offerings of many of the other restaurants within wineries in the south west. It will be a challenge for the professional team at this restaurant to maintain the standards that they have set for themselves and to keep their patrons happy with their offerings.

The food quality is top class and shows the chef’s belief and trust in local produce.
Whether it is the scallops or Plantagenet pork belly as entree or the chicken, beef or fish of the day main course, the produce is top class, well cooked, well presented and tasty in the consumption. There are only three entrees and four main courses and this is a little limiting in a restaurant of this calibre. Two well constructed desserts and house made petit fours are offered with a good variety of cheese as an after meal temptation.

The wine list naturally is made up of the Knee Deep wines.

The service is friendly and abundant and lunch-time diners are encouraged to relax and have a good time.

An entree, main and dessert costs $66 per person without wine. The chef also offers three Trust the Chef menus. A three course offering for $58, a five course for $79 and, when available, a seven course for $99. There is a Chef’s Table at which diners can choose to eat.
