Since its opening in 1986, the owners Giuseppe and Rosalba Pagliaricci have been serving superb Italian fare to an appreciative Perth crowd. The dining room personifies an elegance attributed by its domed ceiling and stylish table settings generated by Perugino’s distinct Umbrian design. Guests are welcomed and extensive pre-dinner drinks can be enjoyed in the lavish bar area in anticipation of a typical Mediterranean experience that follows.

The menu is traditionally Italian and features well-known favourites like veal saltimbocca and osso bucco, interspersed with seasonal specials. Lesser known dishes such as duck breast with saffron and rosemary and rabbit stew with capers and the signature dish of char-grilled goat chops set Perugino apart from the standard Italian restaurant.
The pasta dishes are exceptional with most of the pasta prepared on site. Great care is taken with the authenticity of the various sauces used in a variety of dishes.

The extensive wine list impresses with an extensive price range of local, Australian and Italian varieties, with several offerings by the glass. Lovers of bubbles aren’t forgotten with a premium range of French Champagnes.

The authenticity is carried through with the Italian wait-staff who describe the meals with passion and enthusiasm.

The average cost of three courses is $75 per person and the lunch of $45 for three courses is excellent value.

Perugino was awarded best Italian restaurant at the 2009 Awards for excellence by the Restaurant and Catering Association.
