Just a short stroll from either Kings Park or the city will take you to one of Perth’s up and coming restaurants. Whilst Bouchard is new on the scene, the waiting list is long in this intimate and stylish eatery.

The restaurant is in a tight area and the operation is a little challenging because of the space. Two of the three dining sections may leave the odd patron a little disenchanted. This is more than made up for by the enthusiasm to the menu displayed by all the staff.

It’s easy to see why Perth foodies have targeted Bouchard. There are very few places in town that feature Braised Pigs Heads, celeriac ravioli, and liquorish salt. The trim but creative menu also includes the usual meat and fish favourites. The cosy restaurant is popular for its hearty breakfasts and office workers flock for a casual lunch. But it is the Tuesday to Saturday dinners that are the key to this restaurant.
The predominantly premium wine list includes Australian and French labels with some offerings by the glass. There are also classic cocktails, French champagnes, spirits, and aperitifs in the traditional European tradition. The sheer size and presentation of the menu takes away from the easy going dining of the venue. Wine selection can be an arduous task.

The service is friendly and thorough with the wait staff displaying a sound understanding of the offerings in both food and wine as well as the style of the restaurant.

The average cost of an entree, main and dessert is approximately $75.00 per head.
